The Belgrade Theatre are holding a Dementia Friendly Day including a Singing for the Brain workshop led by Actor, Dave Willetts, and two Dementia Friends Information sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what Dementia is and how to support people living with Dementia in the community.
11am – 1pm Singing for the Brain, led by Dave Willets
2pm – 3pm Dementia Friends Information Session
5pm – 6pm Dementia Friends Information Session

An information market has been organised by Coventry City Council to provide FREE advice of services beneficial to people living with Dementia and their Carers, including stands from Age UK, the Alzheimer’s Society and Coventry Carers Trust. Free taster sessions will also be offered throughout the day, including a Get Going Together session by Age UK’s physical activity team at 1pm and a second Singing for the Brain session, 12:00-1:30pm.

Motor Memory
Join us for an interactive guided tour around the newly redeveloped Coventry Transport Museum. Take in the highlights of our collection and share your memories of Coventry as a boomtown! The tour is designed specifically for people experiencing difficulty with concentration or memory and their friend, partner or carer to enjoy together.

Memory Box Workshop
Creating a memory box is a simple activity to enable you to use reminiscence therapy to help your loved one on their journey with Dementia. The workshop costs £15 for two people to attend and includes the price of a memory box. Attendees will receive information on what to prepare and bring along to the workshop.
